It's a good film, but I found I did need to do my own tests to get the development right; other films can be more forgiving.Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-34283499369302281862018-09-14T02:42:03.673+01:002018-09-14T02:42:03.673+01:00HI, I am about to shoot my first RPX 25 120. But I use Rollo-Pyro developer in a rottary Jobo processor, so I will give a try and and apply the same treatment on this new (for me!) emulsion. Let's see what happens. I'll show the results.
Also, do you think if this emulsion is good for reversal processing?
Thanks!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07165599422116817278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-70315572610597257002017-05-31T09:19:55.176+01:002017-05-31T09:19:55.176+01:00For high dilutions with Rodinal, I would normally ...For high dilutions with Rodinal, I would normally use a minimum of 5-6ml of developer to make up, and use a 2-3 reel tank with a single roll: it's probably not recommended to use 2ml to make up a dilution of 1+150. Also the uncoated lens should have a little bearing on the contrast too.Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-6998543527293005282017-05-30T07:27:30.940+01:002017-05-30T07:27:30.940+01:00I have had some 35mm RPX25 for quite a while.

I used 600ml of solution to develope the single roll. Your blog didn't say whether you only used 300ml or more. As you noted the negatives looked rather thin, but are much less of a challenge to scan.
Were the stand-developed roll of negatives any different looking as they came out of the wash?
I will be trying stand developed RPX25 as soon as we get some more good weather.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11166096620385240449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-3920922433301657682015-05-29T09:32:06.820+01:002015-05-29T09:32:06.820+01:00Thanks for your comment - yes, you're right, b...Thanks for your comment - yes, you're right, by normal agitation I was meaning for the first minute, then 10 seconds each subsequent minute for the remainder of the development time.Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-48169888457049282892015-05-27T19:27:38.706+01:002015-05-27T19:27:38.706+01:00Great test of the RPX 25 :)

I felt that at 25 the highlights were blocking out too much and weren't separated enough from the mid-tones. As you say comparing different lighting conditions when changing development times and dilutions isn't ideal, but I felt like I was getting close to the quality of the negatives that I wanted to achieve.Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-78050793707030758652014-05-23T21:06:52.661+01:002014-05-23T21:06:52.661+01:00Yes, nice write-up. However - when you say that the advice is to expose more and develop less, you acually exposed less rather than more?

Also, when shooting in the harsh midday light, overexposure/underdevelopment is prefered, and comparing harsh daylight with less harsh daylight is hard when changing develpment technique like above.

I've shot a few rolls of RPX25 myself, but haven't printed or enlarged any of them yet.
