But talking about being late for glass plate photography, as an ex-employee of IPC Magazines, where I worked for Classic Cars magazine, the archive there showed lots of glass plate negatives taken by press photographers up to 1965! It seems some of these old-fashioned photographers liked the quality of glass plate negatives. They certainly were amazing quality.
