It should however fire without a film inside - but the viewfinder must be extended for this to work, the shutter is locked with the viewfinder closed. Have you tried opening and closing it again? Or have you tried firing the shutter with the camera open, which should also work?Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-17842187003875508392020-03-25T21:03:08.212+00:002020-03-25T21:03:08.212+00:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11552335283829996392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-50020319803201280362020-03-25T21:03:08.021+00:002020-03-25T21:03:08.021+00:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11552335283829996392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-82548583663483997892020-03-25T21:02:44.564+00:002020-03-25T21:02:44.564+00:00Hi I own a Rollei 16 camera in mint condition the ...Hi I own a Rollei 16 camera in mint condition the shutter does not work after #18 was on viewfinder I opened back door it reset to o closed back and advanced to #1 in and shutter did work but reset to a o and would not advance any more take note I have no film does this camera need film for advance and shutter to workAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11552335283829996392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-58071081506350695392019-07-20T21:55:57.472+01:002019-07-20T21:55:57.472+01:00Hi - thanks for your comments. I think that if you were able to 3D scan the cassettes this could be really useful for other photographers with a Rollei 16 (or the Edixa variants). Let me know if you do manage to do this.Nicholas Middletonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09069364566487735897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-55973939863168592682019-07-03T11:05:20.168+01:002019-07-03T11:05:20.168+01:00Hi Nicholas,

They are actually labelled as training cassettes but I think they work all the same with the camera. I could find out about 3-D scanning and then sharing that data if that might be of use?<br />Porashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03461235780491250718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1573193546035756071.post-68978482794710617612018-03-15T10:33:17.486+00:002018-03-15T10:33:17.486+00:00There was - it seems I neglected to add that one o...There was - it seems I neglected to add that one of the accessories for the Rollei 16 was a flash that attaches to the bayonet fitting around the PC socket; this is for flash bulbs and has a tripod fitting.
